Plan disease cause enormous losses at the crop plants. Total number of plant diseases in the world may be more than eighty thousand. Nearly eight thousand different fungi are associated with the development of these diseases. There are about 180 types of bacteria and 500 types of viruses that causes plant diseases. More than 600 species of nematodes are known to feed on plants.
The climate in Bangladesh is said to harbor the growth and reproduction of large of plant pathogen like- fungi, nematode, bacteria etc.
Most of the farmers of our country are illiterate. So that, they have not enough knowledge on plant or plant disease control. They do not get enough advice from DAE (Department of Agricultural Extension). Though DAE has many extension program on disease pest control but due to farmer's illiteracy and lack of enough proper number of skilled personnel of DAE, farmers are did not know exact way to control pest and disease. So that, they cannot control pant disease by using proper chemical or proper way.
With this viewpoint, an update prescription regarding disease pest control of crop plant is necessary today.....
